30 Dragons in the lake - Family event at Radipole Lake (RSPB) - 10 am - 12 noon. Booking essential Tel: 01305 778313. Cost: Adults free, Children £2 (half price for Wildlife Explorers). A pond dipping session to discover the incredible creatures that live in Radipole lake. Amongst this watery world we will be looking out for dragonfly nymphs and water beetles. 1 Hardy Country Run - Pavilion Forecourt. A spectacular display of Vintage and Classic vehicles coming into Weymouth following a 65 mile tour of Dorset. Raising money for Weldmar Trust Hospices.
1 Puffin quest - Portland Bill 8.30 am - 10.30am. Booking essential Tel: 01305 778313. Free event, donations welcome. Portland Bill is a popular spot for watching birds and during spring and early summer there is a chance of seeing a few puffins. We will set up telescopes to see if we can spot them in amongst the guillemots, razorbills and other fabulous seabirds. There is also the opportunity to visit the Portland Bird Observatory on the way home. Meet at Portland Bill pay and display car park DT5 2JT.
5 Wild flower wander - Radipole Lake 10 am - 12 noon. Tel: 01305 778313. Cost: Adults £3, Children £1.50 (half price for members). This is a great time of the year to see a variety of wild flowers in bloom, learn more about the wildlife that visit them and their uses throughout history. Meet at RSPB Radipole Lake visitor centre, Swannery car park, Weymouth DT4 7TZ.
6 D-Day Picnic - Nothe Gardens. This will be a celebration event and will involve historic military vehicles, recorded music, 1940’s memorabilia, family fun and games; with a general invite to the Borough’s community to participate. Also take a Free visit to the Nothe Fort for a true 1940’s experience. From 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm.

To coincide with the popular BBC Springwatch programme, we will be showing you wildlife that is right on your doorstep. It is also National moth night, visitors will be able to see moths caught on the reserve the previous night at Radipole lake centre. Look out for Springwatch competitions and information packs. Morning, meet at RSPB Radipole Lake visitor centre, Swannery car park, Weymouth DT4 7TZ. Afternoon, meet at the main Lodmoor reserve entrance off the A353 Preston Beach Road, Weymouth, Dorset. Parking is available at the pay & display beach car park.
